Abstract:
TEC WOOD & FURNITURE 4.0 aims to stimulate and support SMEs in the Wood and Furniture Sector to integrate Industry 4.0 and Circular Economy, promoting the profitability of resources through innovation and introduction of ICT to improve overall efficiency of operation and marketing, cost reduction and management of innovation strategies.
It aims to respond to a set of challenges, restrictions and risks, in a global intervention of sustainable development supported by knowledge and digital tools, with an impact on organisational, technological and innovation competences of this high performance and important sector in the national economy. It comprises the incorporation of a set of competitiveness factors, dynamic and of (essentially) immaterial nature, in the assumption of the role that knowledge must occupy as a fundamental strategic resource within organisations, innovating in the contexts of products, material and information flows, technological processes, strategy and organisation, communication and marketing, based on the new paradigm of the Digital Economy, in line with the INDUSTRY 4.0 initiative.
