Pilot project 2016 Factory 4.0 of the Wood and Design Cluster of Galicia (October, 2017)
Abstract:
The Cluster of Wood and Design of Galicia conceives the pilot factory 4.0 as a movement of companies towards specialization, modernization and increase of their own competitiveness. A movement that requires investments, development of new processes and innovative forms of internal organization.
This movement is individual to each company, but at the same time it is carried out by all companies moving in the same direction: towards maximum diversity, greater complexity and total competitiveness of the sector in the global market.
Under these premises, the project is expected to carry out the following actions:
- First transformation of wood
- Second transformation (machining and wood casting)
- Remanufacturing (assembly and integration of components to manufacture final products)
- Production management systems
- Quality control of final product and inventory
